Steffen Counseling Services is thrilled to introduce Kendra Locke (they/she), the newest therapist to join Steffen Counseling Services.
Kendra is a queer-identifying counselor dedicated to creating a warm, inviting, and inclusive space for all clients. With a degree in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University, Kendra has spent several impactful years working full-time with teens and young adults experiencing homelessness, providing case management services. Now, they are advancing their expertise while pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University’s Seattle campus.
Kendra is passionate about partnering with individuals, couples, and families to help them gain deeper self-awareness and achieve their mental health goals. They believe therapy is a collaborative journey, with clients as the experts of their own stories. Their aim is to support clients in living fulfilling lives as their most authentic selves. Understanding that therapy can be challenging, Kendra strives to create a comfortable and supportive environment for this journey.
Their integrative approach draws from various theories tailored to each client’s unique needs, including Somatic Therapy to connect with the body and address stored trauma, Internal Family Systems, and Attachment Theory.
SCS Interns offer low cost, sliding scale therapy for clients with or without insurance coverage ($60-$75 per session). To schedule consultation call or an intake session with Kendra, email her at Kendra@steffencounselingservices.com, or simply self schedule using our online scheduling system and client portal.
