If you’ve ever wondered whether autism could explain experiences you’ve had throughout your life, you’re not alone. Many adults are discovering they’re autistic later in life after years of feeling different, misunderstood, or overlooked. At our practice, we’re committed to making the diagnostic process more accessible, respectful, and affirming.
We’re excited to share that Alyse Bradway is now offering adult autism evaluations in Seattle and throughout Washington state for individuals ages 18 and older!
Adult Autism Assessments Designed with Neurodiversity in Mind
Seeking an autism evaluation as an adult can feel overwhelming. Many people worry about being misunderstood or judged during the assessment process. Alyse’s approach is rooted in neurodiversity-affirming care, creating a supportive environment where your lived experiences are respected and valued.
The goal of the evaluation isn’t to “label” you, it’s to help you better understand yourself, identify your strengths and challenges, and provide meaningful recommendations for moving forward.
What to Expect During an Adult Autism Evaluation
The comprehensive evaluation includes:
- A 90-minute assessment interview, which can be completed as one session or split into two 45-minute appointments if preferred.
- A comprehensive written assessment report.
- A 50-minute feedback session to review findings and answer questions.
Following your evaluation, you’ll receive:
- A summary of the assessment findings
- Any applicable diagnoses
- An explanation of how the diagnosis may impact your daily life
- Personalized treatment recommendations
- Recommendations for workplace or educational accommodations, when appropriate
- Helpful resources for continued support and learning
Our goal is for you to leave the process with greater clarity, validation, and practical next steps.
Meet Alyse Bradway
Alyse has been working with neurodivergent individuals and couples since 2020 and is credentialed in autism assessment and treatment through the Chicago School.
As someone who was also diagnosed as neurodivergent in adulthood, Alyse understands firsthand how meaningful an accurate, compassionate assessment can be. This personal perspective fuels her passion for providing more accessible adult autism evaluations and ensuring clients feel heard, respected, and affirmed throughout the process.
Every evaluation is approached with curiosity, compassion, and an understanding that there is no one “right” way to experience autism.
Evaluation Cost and Details
- Cost: $950
- Payment: Private pay only (insurance billing is not available for autism evaluations)
- Age: Adults 18 and older
Can I Receive Therapy After My Evaluation?
Yes. If Alyse has therapy openings available and telehealth treatment is clinically appropriate, you may have the opportunity to continue working with her after your evaluation. This can provide continuity of care as you begin processing your diagnosis and implementing recommendations.
Why Seek an Autism Evaluation as an Adult?
Many adults pursue an autism evaluation because they have spent years wondering why certain experiences have felt more difficult or different than they seem for others. An evaluation can help explain lifelong patterns related to communication, sensory experiences, relationships, routines, masking, burnout, or executive functioning.
Whether you receive an autism diagnosis or not, the evaluation process can provide valuable insight into your unique strengths, challenges, and support needs.
