I believe that everyone can develop the skills necessary to live the life they’ve always wanted, and it begins with their mental health. I work with clients to help them explore their past, their patterns of thinking, and their behaviors in order to adapt and overcome. Using a trauma-informed approach, we will explore needs, values, and strategies that will help individuals move toward a more regulated, fulfilled self. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor with specific and in-depth training in trauma treatment and recovery. I work with clients from various backgrounds to navigate life transitions, find meaning, and understanding self.
What You Can Expect
Clients describe me primarily as a conversationalist. I consider myself as having an integrative approach– borrowing from a number of therapeutic modalities to individualize therapy for each client. We will focus on the therapuetic relationship– establishing a stong bond in order to propel progress and meet goals. Clients can expect sessions to be active, engaging, and with a healthy balance of humor and education. I am trauma-informed and EMDR trained. I work well with teens, adults, and couples that are motivated, talkative, appreciate humor, and enjoy learning more about the mind-body connection.
